  • What is an Integrated Psychotherapy Intensive?
    Our integrated psychotherapy intensive is a 90+ minute session designed to provide wholistic healing through a combination of EMDR, yoga, mindfulness, play therapy, and somatic healing. This approach addresses the mind, body, and spirit to help you heal from anxiety, trauma, and/or depression.
  • What are the benefits of this integrated approach?
    The integrated approach combines various therapeutic techniques to address different aspects of your well-being. Benefits include: Improved emotional regulation Reduced anxiety and stress Enhanced body awareness and connection Processing and release of trauma Strengthened resilience and inner peace
  • How does EMDR work?
    EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) helps process and release traumatic memories by using bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements or tapping). This technique aids in reprocessing trauma so that it no longer has a lasting negative impact on your well-being.
  • What is Somatic Healing?
    Somatic Healing is a body-centered approach to releasing trauma stored within the body. It involves increasing awareness of bodily sensations and using techniques to release stored tension and trauma. This helps in self-regulation and enhances your ability to cope with stress.
  • What are expressive arts and play therapy?
    Expressive arts and play therapy involve creative activities like drawing, journaling, and play. These techniques provide a safe and supportive way to express emotions, explore personal experiences, and facilitate healing through creative expression.
  • What can I expect during a session?
    During a session, you can expect a supportive and nurturing environment where you will engage in various therapeutic and mind-body based techniques. A typical session flow may include grounding exercises, mindfulness meditation, resource building, somatic healing techniques, gentle yoga, expressive arts activities, reflective practices, and EMDR reprocessing.
  • How are yoga and mindfulness incorporated into the sessions?
    Yoga and mindfulness are integrated to help you reconnect with your body and the present moment. Yoga involves gentle movements and poses that release tension and promote relaxation. Mindfulness practices, such as guided meditation, help cultivate awareness and compassion, reducing anxiety and stress.
  • Is this program culturally sensitive?
    Yes, our program is designed with cultural sensitivity in mind. We understand the unique cultural contexts of Black Women and incorporate this understanding into our therapeutic approaches to provide respectful and relevant care to all.
  • How do I schedule a session?

  • How do I prepare for a session?
    To prepare for a session, wear comfortable clothing that allows for movement, and create a quiet space where you can participate without distractions. Bring any materials you might need for expressive arts, such as a journal or drawing supplies. I will let you know what materials are needed ahead of the session.
